Based in the beautiful Black Mountains village of LLanbedr in the Beacons National Park, two guided days of walking wild beautiful landscapes and byways, taking in some ancient buildings and the budding spring.
The chance for two good long walks amidst spectacular scenery with other people and a delicious dinner in good company.
Includes: Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights · Two packed lunches. Tea and Cake. Two nights comfortable twin bed accommodation with en-suite bathroom – Bed linen and towels all provided. Tea and coffee are freely available throughout the weekend. Please bring your own wine and beer.

Day 1: 12 mile walk
Day 2: 8.5 mile walk
You should be happy to walk at a moderate pace in the hills for 6-8hrs, which includes breaks. There is uphill walking although the gradient is not protractedly steep. The terrain is not rocky or technical.
Some uphill but mainly undulating with less climbing than on day 1.
You will receive an equipment checklist when you book. We want you to be warm and happy on your walk. It’s important that you have clothes which are suitable for our changeable mountain weather and that we do not underestimate how changeable the weather can be: a good waterproof jacket, fleece jacket, hat and gloves, waterproof over-trousers, layers of thin clothing ideally wool or thermal, a rucksack and sturdy shoes or boots with a good sole.
A packed lunch will be provided on both days – please bring any additional snacks.
Location & Arrival:
The borders village of Llanbedr is easily reached by car and is situated two miles from Crickhowell. The location is 45 minutes from the M4 Severn bridge and is easily reached from Bristol (1 hr) and London (3 hrs). Abergavenny is the nearest train station to Llanbedr and is 8.5 miles away. We can arrange a taxi pick up and return from the Abergavenny train station for you.
Llanbedr is 1.5 hrs from Bristol with its International airport. From Bristol airport public transport brings you to Abergavenny in less than 2 hours.
