Based in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park, two days of adventuring and wildlife watching. This is the best time of year for seeing the newly born seal pups and the sea is often still warm enough for a swim. There will be a long walk with seal pup observation and input on the marine life of this coastline. On Sunday you have the options of a magical boat trip to Ramsey Island or a coastal walk taking in and exploring the beautiful city of St David’s.
Includes: Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights · Two packed lunches · Tea and cake · Two nights twin accommodation – Bed linen is provided · Please bring towels. Tea and coffee are freely available throughout the weekend. Please bring your own wine and beer.
There is a box where you can indicate any special dietary requirements on the final checkout booking page.
Minimum age: 18
No dogs are permitted at the accommodation.
Day 1: 10-mile coastal walk seal pup and wildlife watching with expert guide – possibly even a sea swim. Please bring binoculars (if you have them) and swimming togs.
Day 2: Option for boat trip to Ramsey Island – an RSPB National Nature reserve where the grey Atlantic seals go in their droves to pup on this magical island wilderness or a walk which explores the beautiful city of St Davids and another part of the coast.
Please note, the boat trip is weather dependant. The boat trip is £25 and payable when booking on your weekend with Element. If the boats cannot run due to bad weather, you will be refunded.
The coastal walk is non-technical and not rocky; the terrain is undulating on a straightforward footpath. You should be able to walk at a moderate pace for 6-8 hours including breaks.
You will receive an equipment checklist when you book. We want you to be warm and happy on your walk. It’s important that you have clothes which are suitable for our changeable weather and that we do not underestimate how changeable the weather can be: a good waterproof jacket, fleece jacket, hat and gloves, waterproof over-trousers, layers of thin clothing ideally wool or thermal, a rucksack and sturdy shoes or boots with a good sole.
A packed lunch will be provided on both days – please bring any additional snacks.
Location & Arrival:
By car: St Davids is easily reached by car. Follow the A487 to St. David’s (Tyddewi), passing through Newgale, Solva, and Nine Wells.
By train: Haverfordwest Train Station and Fishguard Train Station are both approximately 18 miles from St Davids, so if you are visiting us by rail you would need to catch either a bus or taxi for the rest of this beautiful route to St Davids.
Full arrival details of the venue and accommodation will be sent with your confirmation email after booking.
